How to Submit a Nomination

Submitting a nomination for the Business Excellence Awards is done entirely online through the Awardify platform. The process is simple, and nominations can be started, saved, edited, and completed before the submission deadline. Entries are only considered complete once all required materials are submitted and the entry is declared final.

Before You Begin

Before starting your nomination, please review the award category descriptions and eligibility requirements carefully. Make sure the category you select is the best fit for the nominee, and have all required supporting materials ready to upload. A high-resolution company or organization logo is required in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format. Supporting materials may also include testimonials, case studies, media coverage, or other documents that help demonstrate the nominee's achievements.

Step 1: Create Your Awardify Account

To begin, create your profile through Awardify by completing the account registration form with your name, contact information, email address, and password. Once your account is created, you will be logged in automatically and can begin your submission right away. The platform is fully web-based and can be accessed from a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer using a standard browser.

Click here to setup your account.

Step 2: Start a New Submission

Once logged in, click the option to start a new entry or enter a submission. Select the award category you wish to enter and create a submission title for your own reference. This title is only used internally to help you identify your entry later — judges will not see it. After that, complete the online nomination form and provide all information requested for the selected category.

Step 3: Complete the Nomination Form

Fill out each section of the form as accurately and completely as possible. The information submitted may be used exactly as provided for event production, award presentation, and media recognition, so it is important to check all names, titles, and organizational details carefully before submitting. Accuracy of the submission is the responsibility of the applicant.

Step 4: Upload Required Materials

Each nomination must include all required supporting documents listed within the category form. At minimum, nominees must provide a current high-resolution corporate or organizational logo in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format. Additional supporting documents are encouraged where applicable and may include testimonials, case studies, or media coverage that strengthen the submission. Incomplete submissions may be disqualified.

Step 5: Save, Review, and Edit

You do not need to complete your submission in one sitting. Awardify saves your entry as you work, allowing you to return later to make edits or upload additional information. You can view and manage your submissions through the platform and continue editing them until the submission deadline. After the deadline closes, nomination submissions that were not fully completed and submitted will be disqualified.

Step 6: Finalize and Submit

Once your nomination submission form is complete, click on the "Send on to the judges!" button to formally submit your nomination . Please note that a submission is not considered officially entered until it is submitted to judging. Any nomination form not finalized and submitted by the deadline may be disqualified.

Submission Deadline

All online submissions, and supporting documentation, must be completed by 11:59pm, April 30, 2026. After this deadline, no further materials can be uploaded. If you anticipate difficulty meeting the deadline, please contact awards@bramptonbot.com as early as possible. In limited circumstances, a specific category may have its deadline extended if fewer than three entries from at least two companies have been received.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for nomination:

  • The nominated business or organization must be aware of and approve the nomination before it is submitted.
  • Self-nominations are permitted.
  • Nominees must be actively operating within the Brampton business community and/or have a direct impact on the city.
  • Nominees should have been in operation for a minimum of two years as of the nomination date.
  • Nominees must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Previous award recipients may be nominated again, but cannot receive the same category award more than once within a five-year period.

  • Members of the Board of Directors (and their employees) of the Brampton Board of Trade, staff, and participating partners are not eligible for nomination.

Judging Process

The Business Excellence Awards nominations are evaluated by an independent judging panel through a private online system. Judges bring professional experience and industry knowledge to the review process and score each nomination based on the specific criteria outlined in each award category. Online judging will take place during May 1-7, 2026. All nomination materials are treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of award evaluation.

Important Notes

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify incomplete submissions without notice, accept submissions at their discretion, realign categories based on volume, or eliminate categories with insufficient entries. By submitting a nomination, all entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
