Requirements

Ideal Nominee Profile 

This award is best suited for a small business that demonstrates: 

  • Strong entrepreneurial leadership and clear business vision 
  • Consistent growth and measurable business performance 
  • Adaptability in response to changing markets or challenges 
  • A strong reputation among customers, partners, and the community 
  • A meaningful contribution to the local economy 

Examples of Achievement 

Nominees may demonstrate excellence through: 

  • Revenue growth, customer growth, or business expansion 
  • Launch of new products, services, or business lines 
  • Expansion into new markets or customer segments 
  • Strategic pivots or innovation in response to industry changes 
  • Strong customer loyalty, testimonials, or brand reputation 

Eligibility Requirements 

To be considered, nominees must: 

  • Have between 1–50 employees 
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership, business growth, or innovation 
  • Provide products or services that benefit or serve the Brampton community 
  • Nominees must have substantial business operations within the City of Brampton and/or be a member in good standing of the Brampton Board of Trade.
  • Nominees must agree to attend the awards gala and participate in promotional activities if selected as finalists.
  • Members of the Brampton Board of Trade Board of Directors (and their employees), staff, and participating partners are not eligible for nomination.
