Our Brampton Employment Services Centre is a testament to this commitment, helping nearly 1,000 individuals last year and supporting employers with hiring, training and retention strategies.

COSTI Brampton Employment Services Centre is a vital partner to local employers, helping them meet their workforce needs while supporting inclusive hiring practices. In 2024, we worked with several Brampton-based businesses to deliver customized employment solutions that reduce recruitment barriers and strengthen retention.
We provide access to Employment Ontario-funded hiring incentives and training grants, helping businesses offset costs when hiring new staff or upskilling current employees. These supports are tailored to employer goals, whether hiring entry-level or specialized talent.
We strive to build long-term partnerships by offering job matching and carving, as well as mentoring and onboarding support. We also host hiring events and information sessions that help employers connect with Brampton's diverse and job-ready talent pool.
Through these efforts, we support small, medium and large businesses in building productive teams while contributing to a more resilient local economy. We stay connected to employer needs and workforce trends to ensure our services remain relevant and impactful.

COSTI Brampton Employment Services plays a strategic role in connecting businesses, Brampton Board of Trade and other stakeholders in the community to strengthen Brampton's business ecosystem.
Our team facilitates and participates in events that foster collaboration between employers and community partners. These include sector-specific hiring events, roundtables, and networking sessions where local businesses share recruitment strategies and labour market insights.
In 2024, our Brampton Manager served as a panelist at a Brampton Board of Trade's workforce development forum, contributing expert insight on inclusive hiring and workforce development. This active involvement creates a space for shared learning and stronger business relationships across sectors.
Beyond events, our one-on-one engagement with employers focuses on building lasting connections. We work closely with Brampton businesses to understand their workforce needs, link them to relevant supports, and stay involved throughout the hiring journey.
Our role is not only to connect employers to job seekers, but to one another—creating a more integrated, informed, and collaborative business community. Through these efforts, we help build the relationships that drive Brampton's economic resilience.

In 2024, COSTI Brampton Employment Services supported nearly 1,000 individuals in securing meaningful employment. We worked with several small, medium, and large employers to meet workforce needs through personalized job matching and retention strategies.
When a large employer in Brampton experienced a significant layoff, we provided immediate on-site support to nearly 150 employees, delivering Employment Ontario information and transition resources. This timely response helped minimize the disruption to workers and provided clear next steps during a challenging time.
We also hosted multiple hiring events and community workshops that connected job seekers with real opportunities and helped employers access skilled local talent. These efforts increased job placements and supported underrepresented groups in accessing employment pathways.
These outcomes reflect our commitment to building a stronger local community—where people can thrive, businesses grow, and the entire community benefits.

In 2024, COSTI Brampton Employment Services helped nearly 1,000 individuals access employment, training, or career services—many of whom were newcomers, youth, or workers facing employment barriers.
We partnered with several local employers to meet their staffing needs through personalized job matching and recruitment support. Several of these partnerships involved training support grants, which helped employers invest in the growth and development of new hires, resulting in higher retention and skill-building.
Our multilingual team ensures culturally responsive services, which allows us to reach communities and ensure equitable access. Our events, including job fairs, workshops, outreach, and information sessions, helps us foster economic inclusion and community engagement.
We also respond quickly to the evolving labour market needs. One of the year's most impactful moments was supporting a Brampton-based employer during a large layoff. We delivered onsite employment support to nearly 150 individuals, providing direction, stability, and next-step planning during a critical transition.
Through these actions, we've made lasting contributions to Brampton's economic and social fabric. Our commitment goes beyond employment—we help build lives, opportunities, and a more connected community.
