1. Describe how your organization actively supports Brampton businesses. Provide specific examples of how the individual or organization supports local businesses, such as mentorship, partnerships, sponsorships, or advocacy efforts.

At The Esteem Agency, I'm committed to strengthening Brampton's business community by helping organizations improve client retention, build meaningful relationships, and create long-term growth strategies. Whether through consulting, mentorship, or partnership facilitation, my goal is always to support businesses in becoming more sustainable, connected, and customer-centric.

I've worked with a wide range of Brampton-based businesses, including small, BIPOC- and women-owned enterprises, startups, legal firms, and nonprofits. I've offered free consultations and strategic guidance to entrepreneurs and small business owners like Soulful Colour, Food Quotient, and Stewandy Cleaners Inc., and supported the expansion of the legal tech startup Settify into North America, onboarding Brampton-based firms like Ontario Law Solutions and Simmons da Silva LLP. I also facilitated Settify's sponsorship of the 2023 Peel Law Association Judge's Award Night, helping strengthen its relationships within Brampton's legal sector.

One project that truly reflects my belief in grassroots engagement and long-term value creation was my work promoting Flow Fest, a Brampton On Stage production at the Rose Theatre. I led a local promotions strategy that brought together over 40 Brampton-based businesses—from barbershops and salons to restaurants and retailers—to help build awareness and drive ticket sales. I also partnered with musicians, community leaders, and cultural organizations to amplify the event's Afro-Caribbean roots and create authentic connections with the local audience. This initiative wasn't just about filling seats—it was about building excitement, community pride, and repeat engagement. Businesses that participated gained new visibility, and the Rose Theatre saw increased engagement from new and returning patrons.

My work always centers around sustainable engagement, and that same mindset carried into my role with the Brampton Board of Trade. I developed a structured membership engagement and renewal framework to support long-term retention. This project wasn't just about process—it was about shifting the mindset around retention, showing that it's not just a cost-saving measure, but a growth strategy.

By encouraging cross-functional collaboration, we created a more connected, member-focused culture that continues to influence how the organization engages with its members.

1a. Recommended Documentation/Proof: Testimonials from businesses that have benefited from your support. Evidence of sponsorships, mentorship programs, or funding contributions. Case studies or reports on the impact of your support.

2. Explain how your organization has contributed to building meaningful connections within the Brampton business community. Detail the initiatives, collaborations, or networking efforts the nominee has led or participated in that have strengthened business relationships in Brampton.

I've always believed that business is built on relationships, and relationships thrive when people feel seen, heard, and supported.

As someone who naturally brings people together, I focus on creating space for honest conversations, shared goals, and positive momentum. Whether it's facilitating a strategic introduction or rallying partners around a community initiative, I use my communication strengths to foster trust, alignment, and collaboration.

My work through The Esteem Agency reflects that philosophy. I don't just consult on client retention or strategic growth—I help people and organizations connect in ways that are authentic, mutually beneficial, and built to last.

Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of Brampton businesses—legal firms, nonprofits, startups, and small business owners—helping them strengthen client relationships while tapping into the power of collaboration.

At EnRoute 2 Success, I've played an ongoing role in developing sponsorship outreach for events and programs rooted in empowerment. These collaborations have deepened corporate engagement and helped businesses recognize how meaningful community partnerships can elevate their brand presence and long-term impact.

With Flow Fest 2024, I led a grassroots community engagement campaign that wasn't just about promotion—it was about unity. I partnered with over 40 local businesses, encouraging them to see the value in supporting arts and culture while providing a platform to reach new audiences. That sense of shared purpose helped elevate both the event and the businesses involved.

Through JA Central Ontario, I'll be seeking local business support for their Boundless Potential initiative. The goal is to create career pathways for Brampton youth while giving companies a chance to give back in a purposeful, strategic way. I hope to bridge the gap in a small way—making it easier for both sides to say “yes” to something meaningful.

Many of the businesses I work with adopt new systems and strategies, but the real transformation happens when they begin to approach relationships differently. That was the case with the Brampton Board of Trade, where I helped introduce a retention framework rooted in shared accountability. It sparked deeper collaboration across departments and encouraged a more member-focused culture overall. The value wasn't just in the process—it was in how people came together around a common goal.

At the heart of it all, I encourage businesses to look beyond competition and lean into connection. When we share knowledge, celebrate one another's wins, and support the community around us, we all grow. And I'm proud that The Esteem Agency has been a catalyst for that kind of thinking across Brampton.

Whether I'm speaking with a first-time entrepreneur or collaborating with a regional leader, my goal is always the same: to create momentum, build bridges, and remind people what's possible when we work together.

2a. Recommended Documentation/Proof: List of partnerships or collaborations facilitated. Event participation records, networking forums. Endorsements from business peers or partners.

3. Provide measurable examples of how the organization has made a positive impact on the Brampton community. What initiatives, programs, or contributions has the organization made that have had a tangible, measurable effect on the Brampton community?

By leading a grassroots outreach campaign for Flow Fest 2024, I engaged over 40 Brampton-based businesses—ranging from salons and barbershops to restaurants and retailers—to help amplify the event's presence across the city. Through in-store promotions, social media sharing, and direct community engagement, these partnerships significantly increased local awareness and excitement around the event. This approach not only extended Flow Fest's reach but positioned it as a culturally resonant event supported by the Brampton business community.

70% Retention Rate Among Legal Clients (Including Brampton-Based Firms)
While consulting with legal tech startup Settify, I implemented onboarding and engagement strategies that contributed to a 70% client retention rate across 60+ law firms, including those in Brampton. This not only reduced churn but also improved long-term business sustainability for local legal practices.

Secured Sponsorship and Increased Brand Awareness for Brampton-Based Nonprofits
My outreach support for EnRoute 2 Success contributed to strengthened brand visibility, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and meaningful connections with local businesses. I helped secure in-kind sponsorships—including a $1,000 pizza donation from Pizzaish for the 2025 Black History Month event—and served as a hole sponsor for their 2024 charity golf tournament. I also introduced the organization to business advisors and fundraising tools to support their long-term sustainability. These efforts allowed EnRoute 2 Success to expand its community programming and create more engaging, inclusive experiences for Brampton youth.

Introduced Strategic Retention Framework at the Brampton Board of Trade
I developed a member engagement and renewal strategy that laid the groundwork for improved retention and internal alignment at BBOT. In 2025, I hope to support the Brampton Board of Trade in fully implementing this strategy by working collaboratively with their Operations Director and Finance Manager, while continuing to advise the broader team. The framework has already influenced how the organization approaches value delivery and member communication, encouraging a more proactive and aligned approach to engagement. With full implementation, portions of the strategy have the potential to become a lasting part of BBOT's culture and overall member experience.

Created Opportunities for Business-to-Youth Mentorship Through JA Central Ontario
As the 2025 Brampton Lead, I'm facilitating connections between local businesses and JA mentorship programs. JA initiative, called Boundless Potential, aims to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build thriving communities through immersive learning experiences in areas like work readiness, financial health, and entrepreneurship. I also intend to help match professionals (as program advisors and mentors) with students from Brampton schools, opening pathways to career readiness and financial literacy education for youth who may not otherwise have had access.

3a. Recommended Documentation/Proof: Reports, metrics, or statistics demonstrating impact (e.g., jobs created, funds raised, volunteer hours). Media coverage or news articles showcasing community contributions. Letters of support from community organizations or beneficiaries.

4. How does your organization align with the values and mission of the Brampton Board of Trade? Describe how your organization's work reflect the mission of the Brampton Board of Trade in fostering business success and community prosperity.

Since joining BBOT in January 2024, I've experienced firsthand the organization's deep commitment to building a thriving, connected, and inclusive business community. As the Founder of The Esteem Agency, my work aligns strongly with BBOT's mission—supporting business success through meaningful relationships, strategic advocacy, and initiatives that contribute to Brampton's long-term prosperity.

At The Esteem Agency, our mission is to help businesses grow by strengthening client relationships, improving retention, and driving long-term value through authentic engagement. That's exactly the type of business success BBOT champions: one grounded in collaboration, community, and sustainable impact.

Our outreach for Flow Fest 2024 is a strong example of this alignment. By engaging over 40 local businesses in a grassroots promotional campaign, I helped elevate the profile of a Brampton On Stage cultural event while amplifying community pride, increasing awareness of Afro-Caribbean artistry, and strengthening the connection between local arts and Brampton's Black diaspora—including African, Caribbean, and other BIPOC communities.

My work with JA Central Ontario will present additional opportunities for Brampton businesses to connect with youth through mentorship, financial literacy, and career-readiness programs—opening doors for the next generation while reinforcing the role of local businesses in shaping a vibrant, inclusive economy.

BBOT is more than a business network—it's a driving force behind economic collaboration, innovation, and community advancement. I remain a proud advocate and engaged member, committed to contributing to its ongoing success and the collective prosperity of Brampton's business community.

4a. Recommended Documentation/Proof: Statements from peers, employees, or community leaders highlighting their alignment with these values. Examples of advocacy efforts supporting Brampton businesses. Participation in Board of Trade events, committees, or initiatives.

5. What specific outcomes or successes demonstrate your organization's overall commitment to enriching the Brampton community? Include any recognition, awards, or milestones achieved through your community contributions.

The Esteem Agency's commitment to enriching the Brampton community is demonstrated through our focus on purposeful collaboration, strategic support for community initiatives, and our ability to activate relationships that drive real impact.

A core part of our work involves helping organizations move beyond transactional engagement to build meaningful, long-term connections with the people and communities they serve. Whether advising nonprofits on stakeholder strategy or guiding small businesses in creating more client-centered experiences, our goal is to improve how value is delivered—internally and externally.

Over the past year, The Esteem Agency has contributed to various citywide initiatives, including campaigns that promote inclusive economic participation and amplify underrepresented voices. These efforts have helped create platforms where businesses, community partners, and local residents can come together around shared goals.

In October 2024, I was featured in a short video post by the Brampton Board of Trade during Small Business Month for my work in client success and community engagement - recognition that reflected both the strategic outcomes and human connections at the heart of my work. The agency's contributions have also received direct acknowledgments from Brampton-based professionals and community leaders who have experienced the value of our relationship-first approach.

These milestones are a reflection of our ongoing dedication to supporting Brampton's growth, resilience, and sense of community—one partnership at a time.
